Prior to purchasing this truck and creating the ultimate urban assault vehicle, the previous owner put a lot of money into the engine. He changed out the oil cooler, EGR cooler and injectors. There was probably more but thats all I can remember off the top of my head. I have the receipts just need to dig through them to find out exactly.


This beast is my daily driver, although I don't drive very far any more, and only put about 100 miles on it per week. I have been averaging 15.6-15.8, of mainly city and slow highway traffic driving. I have gotten almost 20mpg on a trip to the desert last year.

I hate to sell the Excursion as I have always wanted one since they first came out. With the expansion of our family, it provided the perfect platform for us. The truck starts right up, has no check engine lights or trouble codes and always drives perfectly. My ECT temps typically run 188-193 and my EOT has never been more than 6 degrees above the coolant, and during the Ford approved test, it is always within 2-4 degrees.
