I've used mine a couple times along with the pole and they sure seem to come in handy. I don't have to get my full self into the box often so I don't use it often. The one thing I don't like about it is that it's unusable when hooked to a trailer and that's when I tend to use the box most often.

I use mine a fair amount. I thought it was stupid at first, but it is very nice to have.

Absolutely! The step on the new 17's is completely different than on the 2011-2016 model year trucks. Much better designed and the tailgate is not flat whereas before it was not. I have had both and definitely like the 2017 and would not go without it.

What he said The new design, with a flat tailgate, is great. My knees thank me every time I use it!

I use mine regularly, just this weekend as I was getting in and out of the bed carrying things I thought....gee this step is sure better don't need to sit stuff down then climb in the bed just to pick the stuff back up.

They should come with a long rake type tool to grab all the stuff that slides to the front of the bed!

I would say yes with one caveat - If you are short and old like me I have trouble getting my foot up to the tailgate step without another stepping block.

I had the tailgate step on my last two trucks and wish I had one now. I still need a short stepladder when the 5th wheel camper is hooked up. Man these bed sides are tall!

I thought it was a waste of money on my first f150, when I was 26 years old. I definitely wanted it for these much taller F250's or higher, but the one I bought didn't have it. Fortunately I am young enough to climb the tires or hop in the bed still. I'd highly recommend it for the ease of getting in and out of the bed, especially when you have stuff in your hands.

I don't have one, I have to grab ahold of the inside of the bedrail and put my foot on top of the tire to get inside the bed. It works pretty well but it is not as easy as a bed step for most situations.
