Finally broke down and took my '15 truck to the dealer. I bought it new in March of 2015 but never had occasion to visit the dealer until now.
While there I asked about adding the DPF filter screen. Service writer knew nothing about it but did go talk to a mechanic. He came back and said it would run me $200 to add the screen.
My question is:
Is anyone familiar with a dealer in the Denver area that knows how to add the screen and will do it at a reasonable cost?

That's a crazy cost.
I may be in the Denver area (Aurora) first week of September for work. If so we can meet up. I'll let you know.

I'll keep my eye on this post. If you are in town let me know please. I will be in Steamboat Springs for a week starting the 5th but will be around the first few days of the month and after the 10th.
Thank you

Idiots - absolutely find a different dealer. Ya know what this tells me, they are going to suck cash out of your wallet for every little thing they can every chance they get.
While I get these guys are in business to make money, helping someone out on a 10 minute change will have you going back to them for something that you should legitimately pay for like scheduled maintenance. I've had the same experience - was told by 1 dealer $200.00 to turn my DRLs off - went to another dealer, they did it in 10 minutes - they now have a new customer, bought an extended warranty from that dealer and they've done a number of things on my truck including my 60,000 mile maintenance which oh yeah, I had to pay for.
