Been looking at trucks pretty seriously over the past week. Went and drove one this weekend that was decent. I'm presently looking at a 2010 crew cab long bed f150 with the 5.4 and a couple 2011's extended cabs with the ecoboost. All in the $14-17K price range, and generally 100-130K miles

Morning all, drove to Maine yesterday and stopped in New Hampshire liquor store for some really good buys. In Maine had a good dinner at a "Clam bake".

I guess summer is here because the ride back on 95 was sad. Bumper to bumper all the way down to 495 into MA. A lot of idiots out there.

4th of July coming up and I'm getting the smoker ready for baby back ribs, corn, and whatever anyone needs smoked at the camp.

Raining but no humidity.

I think I need a hair cut so I'll put that on my list of things to do. Noting that since retirement that become an actual decision. How sad.

Have a bunch of stuff from the JK Jeep that Kathy traded in for her Cadillac. Tube doors, storage system, and other things. My son called and asked if I want to sell them. I said sure and he's going to show them to his neighbor. So if he doesn't take them I'll list them on e-bay and get rid of them. That will clean out a corner of the garage.

Packing the truck with food and clothing for the week at the camp site. Have to mow the grass at the camper, then relax with a ice cold one.

Hoping the internet is working at the camper. If not hoping everyone has a good 4th of July.

Picked myself up a truck yesterday. Drove up to New Hampshire to get it. It was at a Ford dealership where it was serviced its whole life. One owner, and great maintenance records. Drives really nice. It's a 2010 F150 lariat crew cab 6.5' bed. Haven't had a chance to get pictures yet.

Anyone know someone in the New Haven area good at deciphering P codes PIDs and freeze frames? I was able to capture two P0300 random misfire codes on the 5th and 7th cylinder. I figured new cops and plugs, but it's giving me weird data about the EGR and heated O2 sensor etc. Having a tough time making heads or tails of it. Only does it accelerating to freeway speed. I just happened to have my KIWI3 attached AND OBD Fusion logging the data when it last happened. Bought new plugs and cops told change anyway.

Would upload the report a PayPal some cash to someone who could make sense of it, but probably not allowed. Lol

PS If this is the wrong thread for this type of problem/question just let me know. I'm pretty new around here and still a little green. Just thought since we're local someone might know someone else local.

Thanks much for any suggestions!

You got a P0305 P0307? You should test relative compression across bank 2 and if it looks good start looking at the fuel injection.

No it came up with ECU 7E0 and P0300 Random Misfire one confirmed and one pending. This is what has me scratching my head. They came up with the following info:

MIL Off, # Trouble Codes 0, Misfire: Available = True, Complete = True Fuel System: Available = True, Complete = True Components: Available = True, Complete = True Catalyst: Available = True, Complete = True Heated Catalyst: Available = False, Complete = True Evap System: Available = True, Complete = True Secondary Air System: Available = False, Complete = True AC Refrigerant: Available = False, Complete = True Oxygen Sensor: Available = True, Complete = True Oxygen Sensor Heater: Available = True, Complete = True EGR System: Available = False, Complete = True

What had me nervous is True EGR System Available= False and True Heated Catalyst=False

I guess I'll do the plugs and cops this weekend. The service manual I have mentions the P0300 could also be camshaft positioning sensors? Guess they're not too expensive and easy to change out.

Thanks again for the reply!

How do you like those Toyo's? Mine takes the 245 75 17s and I ended up buying a set of Kuhmo AT51 8 ply. I was seriously considering the Toyo's though. Hoping I don't get buyers remorse lol. Kuhmo's have 500 miles on them and seem fine so far.
