Alignment After Level
I am having issues aligning my truck after the 1.5inch Rough Country Leveling Coils. Truck is a 1985 F150 2WD. The camber is out a little over 4 degrees. I contacted Rough Country and they said the truck will most likely need to settle and it wouldn't be a bad idea to change out the camber bushings. But is it really going to settle that much? I know that it will a bit but even for it to bring it back 2 degrees seems like a lot to me. I could be totally wrong so I need your guys advice.
The shop doing the alignment found some camber bushings that will correct up to 2 1/4 degrees but then it will still be out another 2 degrees. I know that I should change out the bushings regardless but should I get stock ones or the 2 1/4 ones? Any other advice is greatly appreciated. They said they know a shop that can arch my beams if needed but I don't think this should have to be done for this lift, and Rough Country says I shouldn't need anything major like that.

I looked around a little on-line and I couldn't find any camber bushings with up to 4 degrees adjustment either for a 2wd. There are 4 degree bushings available for the 85 F150 4wd - I'm not sure what the difference is in the bushings between 2x4 and 4x4 (the pictures look the same).
Also, you may find that the new springs will settle some after a little driving, so if you get the closest alignment now, next year it may have changed some as the spring settles/sags a little.
And being 1-1/2 degrees out (positive) is not really not that bad. Just rotate the tires regularly.

I would take the leveling kit out. Very simple. And you do not need to replace those bushings they are talking about. They are not a wear item. The only reason to change them is for alignment purposes.
One other thing you could do is get some drop down brackets for the center pivots on the beams, just like the ones that come in a lift kit. I am familiar with the brackets that are for a 4 inch lift, but I have seen some guys come in here once it awhile with some oddball lifts kits that are 2 1/2" and 3" lifts. The brackets from one of those might work for you, or you could drill the some extra holes for your "custom" 1.5 inch lift.

Well I would rather not take them out now that I have them in haha. I will admit that the truck looks much better that it is sitting level but Rough Country isn't very honest with this lift kit on there website. I talked to Rough Country some more and found out that this is a common issue when installing these coils and they want me to put 400 miles on to let them settle a bit. I will still have to change out the bushings but I will have to wait and see what degree I will need after they settle. Lesson learned I guess.
