Here's my all black 2017. I've blacked out just about everything. Even the interior has had all the vents and accessories removed and painted black. 6" Fabtech Radius arm lift with 37/13.5/22's. Hostile wheels.

 

Not sure if you want to, or know; But apparently you can remove the end caps of the factory power running boards, and peel off the chrome accent strip. It is just held on by double sided 3M tape and is the same matte black finish as the rest of the running board. Just found that out the other day and someone finally posted photos and they look just like they came that way.

 

Thanks! I'll have to check that out. The chrome on the running boards has always bugged me.

Thanks! The whole purpose of buying my new SD was to mod it, keep it and pay it off, so I can build my 66. My father bought it when I was a year old, gave it to me when I was 16, and I've never let it go. So it's been around for 30 years.

 

I'm swapping out the factory front locking hubs tonight with some new black powder coated Warn (95060) replacements, to get rid of the ugly silver factory hubs. If I have enough time, I'm going to try to pull the chrome off the running boards too. Should be very subtle, but after looking at this edited photo, I too agree the chrome can sometimes look a little out of place.
