good morning Missouri .... glad to hear you are making yourself useful rich..
hope it gets less hectic for ya dave, and the new car works out well

not sure what I will jump on today.. I guess I should replace the frt. brake hoses and the wiper mtr. on the black bronco.. it sure is nice to have so many projects that I don't have to work on the same thing 2 days in a row.....

Hot rod weekend!!!

Street rod nationals in Springfield this weekend. There will be around 3,000 street rods in Spfd this weekend. We were in last night to sign in and a lot of very sharp old cars in town. Anyone going give me a shout and will try to meet up in the fairgrounds.

Enjoy your weekend

Larry

Howdy all, looks like a busy weekend for everybody...except that slacker Dan, he does nothing ever, and even less when he pulls a Jeff and buys Alan's favorite domestic brand of vehicle.

Jesse has a new ride.

Stopped by the shop I use for inspections and it just breezed right through. First time in forever that's happened. No issues whatsoever on the hour long drive home either. Even all the bells and whistles work. I'm not sure that's ever happened before.

Yeah - I would have been unemployed at that point. Heights and me don't get along terribly well.

Here's the replacement for the Neon that went swimming last month...

It most certainly is.

Interesting thing is that I have less money in this one than I had put into the Neon and it's a far better vehicle.

That's even better. I'm glad you got a good break. Do your typical Dave inspection of it to be certain it is in Dave condition.

I'm planning on double checking the suspension/steering (even though it feels tight on the road), pull the inspection cover to make sure my hunch that the timing belt was recently changed is correct, and make sure the battery cables are in good condition. I've got receipts for the recent brake job so that's good.

I'll probably think of a few more along the way.

105' is nothing...I would Ausie (face 1st) rappel off the open side if I could get away with it. lol

Cool ride for the kid Dave.

Larry is the Glenestone cruise still scheduled or is the chance of bad weather chasing everyone away? It is suppose to be be real bad sat 3 PM to midnight.

Unk Bob, Lowes has two pack of 18.6lb Kingsford for 9.00. I'm assuming it's everywhere. Smokin Meats Low and Slow on Facebook has been blown up with posts. I'm headed to Lowes.

Thanks for the heads up Chip! I think I still have 14 or so bags, but it is tempting to go snag a couple of bundles.

Y'all ever hear your parents tell you "Not to put things in your mouth" because you might swallow it? Well,I ended up at *** Hospital's ER yesterday afternoon.
I started to hang some of Shari's pictures that are propped up beside walls. I had made my mark on where to place that first nail to hang picture number 1. Well, you guessed it. I had the nail and bracket in my mouth, and as soon as I tilted my head to look up, that 2" Brass nail slid out of the hanger, and right down my neck, good job Bob
The nail did end up making it all the way to my stomach, but after a few hours in the ER, and 2 additional rooms later, not counting X-Ray the Dr got it out without having to cut me open.
I feel fine, I even felt fine in the Hospital, with just a little dose of D*mbass.

Unk Bob

The pants did stay on, one nurse wanted my shoes, I told her no.
Yeah it could have been worse. I'm glad I didn't end up in Surgery like one nurse was talking about. This nail is getting framed.

Rich
They are cruising tonight and will be tomorrow too if the weather doesn't get too bad. Not sure the deal but city has signs all around town to cruise Kearney Street. Kinda wondering if that short section of Glenstone getting too crowded and they are trying to get them over on Kearney to give more room. We came home early but lots of cars moving around when we left
