Help me put a price on my X

shame to hear man
as far as price...it's a tough market for gassers. My 2002 V-10 had only 87k miles. Zero rust, Zero body damage. Everything worked as if fresh off factory floor. Lifted on brand new 35's. the only negative was the hood had some clearcoat peeling
I was barely able to get $8300 for it after months of listing it in Hawaii January 2016.
I've been watching X's sell out here in CT for the past year. median mileage is 150k miles. The gas jobs go for $4-5k max. I've seen a few go under $3k. The diesels are over $10k usually. Stock or lifted, doesn't seem to matter. Prices seem pretty consistent.

I could see a $4000 or $5000 price tag on the ones the dealers have that look nice but need to have $2000 of work in order to be right.
Most of those $4000 excursions have ESOF that don't work, need ball joints, tie rods, new fluids, rear hatch won't lock and exhaust manifold bolts are broken. And most need new tires and brakes.
I won't mention sway bar link issues, windows that won't roll down or door locks that won't lock, fogged up head lights and ripped seats...oops I guses I just did.

We will see, but I dont. You can barely see the dimples when your looking for them.
I'm going to try to sell it with a dimpled roof after insurance gets thru screwing me.
Maybe I will put a safari rack on it to compensate new owner for dimples.

I got lucky, I had just left work. At work there was baseball sized hail that put large holes in coworkers windshields and back windows. Everyone that had a sunroof had ice intruders in front seats.
Their cars looked like someone had shot them up with a 50 caliber machine gun!

Yah, I do keep 2 of my 3 excursions in my garage.
The one with a Kenne Bell supercharger is my baby and only gets about 500 miles a year. It's a 2000 4x4 V10 with only 109,000 miles on it.
I was hoping to sell the 3rd one, I will probably sell alot cheaper now depending on insurance settlement.

Don't take the first offer the insurance gives you. Since you were possibly looking at selling the truck- an $8k offer and an $800 (likely) buyback is a good thing in my eyes. You get most of your purchase price and you get the truck back with some minor cosmetic damage that you probably won't even see/notice.. Hell you could sell it salvage for $3k-4k and end up ahead in the long run.
I know insurance claims suck, but sometimes they pay well, and it's easier than listing/dealing with buyers and you end up ahead
