computer change out

I am going to order and change the computer in my 90 f150 5.0 5spd, and was wandering if i have to pull a chip (eeprom) out of the old computer and put it in the new one ??

You shouldnt have to change any internal parts , Its not like the Gm Ecu's . You will need the part number off the one you are removing in order to purchase a new one , the part numbers have to match in order to obtain a Ecu that is calibrated the same .
