Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 49 with sunshine. Looks like a Marine layer moving in now, but hopefully the sun cooks it. Fortune tellers are telling us mostly cloudy today. So far, they have been wrong.
Unfortunately we have lost our B-17G and P-38 at Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in McMinnville. They got tangled up in the Del Smith controversy and bankruptcy. I believe they have been acquired by the Collins Foundation in Florida and depart McMinnville the end of June or in July.
Evergreen is having a Father's Day celebration at Evergreen centered around the B-17. They are billing it as being one of the last times we will be able to see or tour the inside of the plane.
The Evergreen B-17 is the one used in the original James Bond Movie, Thunderball, to do the Sky Lift at the end of the movie.
If you get out this way, let me know ahead of time. I have a membership to Evergreen and can take a couple of adult guests with me for no charge. The Spruce Goose resides there, but they charge to go beyond the cargo deck and up to the flight deck.
Oh Ok,,,,,Two of my favorite fighters.........I'll plan on going when they are back. Years ago there was a sparsley attended air show in Madras....my dad, son, and I spent about an hour chatting with the pilot of the P-38 they had there.......he let us sit in the cockpit and everything. A great time.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Found a couple of huge ant colonies in a wood pile today. Thought they were the little sugar ants. They may have been small, but they had bionic jaws and a very rotten attitude.
Clothes ended up in the washing machine and I ended up in the shower.
After that, I gave them a bath in Ortho followed up by a refreshing shower in liquid Seven spray.

I was going for the bug juice when I really realized just how infested I had become. Was going to have the wife hose me down with the garden hose, but then I figured the cold water would hurt worse than the creepy crawler biting ants. In retrospect, I could have been wrong about that.
