My day Sucked Rick...

Been spending time with my kids at the hospital..

Looks like my ex isn't going to make it

 

That sucks. Has she been sick? You've never said anything.

 

She had diabetes and wasn't taking care of it..

Before Christmas she was having shortness of breath they though was a side effect from blood pressure meds. so they put her on another one and that made her legs swell up..

She didn't want to go to the doctor last week when she thought she was getting the flu..

Last Thursday Lindsey found her unresponsive on the floor.. When EMS got there she wasn't breathing and had no pulse.. They got a pulse back after a while. They kept her sedated most of the weekend and they were saying it was grim, but today they said she was in full renal failure..

So the kids had to make a decision today.. They are going to wait a couple more days to verify their choice

That diabetes is a bad thing. My neighbor that I went to school with has it and has lost his eyesight in one eye to it. Patty has it.

After my stroke in 09 I got on a 6 year study for insulin resistance. The drug they gave me was the placebo. I didn't know that until the study was over.

 

Do you feel bad for all of the things that you have said? Maybe I should clean up my act?

 

Yeah it is bad.. My MIL and a cousin both lost a leg..

My Ex didn't want to change her eating habits to eat foods better for diabetics..

 

No I feel bad for my kids having to deal with this..

She is 62.. The kids shouldn't have to deal with this now..

If she went to the emergency room last week when they were telling her to the out come might be a lot different
