I get the contention here...but personally I would not be upset or worried about this in any way. I would throw it in your truck folder and look back and laugh about it years down the road. I am saving all my stuff from this truck from the original order to the window sticker to the Ford brochure, and if I found something like this it would go in there as well. I actually have an original order from an f-150 my dad ordered back in the early 90's. It shows he ordered grey/ dark grey two tone. I also have a copy of the window sticker when it came in wrong with brown/ dark brown (if I recall right). Dealer tried blaming him for this when it was clearly their error. They did end up fixing it, but still.
Anyway, my point is that its sorta cool/ funny to look back on little things like this.

Its been similar for the last few trucks I've bought. They pretty much fill the tank up and aim the tire shine gun at the tires (and all over the rims and body) and you're good.
They missed a lot. Seems there's no attention to detail. I guess I need to lower my standards.

Besides the paint flaws, I saw what looks like some stickers that were ripped off laying in the bed. Haven't looked at them yet since it had been raining and didn't bother. Still some plastic on the front Ford emblem, chalk or whatever they use to mark the tires still there, exterior looked like they used a dirty dish towel to dry it off. But they made sure they put their decal on the tailgate, license plate frame on the back, and license plate on the front.

They did fill the tank and DEF so I will give them kudos for that.

Found a small plastic piece laying on the floor, thought it might have been something broke off so I put it in my pocket. Looked at it yesterday and it has Ford on it and a part number. Can't figure it out. Maybe something that is supposed to be removed for delivery and it fell on the floor?

Yes sir!

BTW, when do we have the pleasure of toasting the new arrival??

My truck was built back in September - completely clean. It had 4 miles on it when I took delivery.

Yes, I can see your views to a certain extent. At the same time, it would appear this person has a lack of respect for other people's property by throwing their garbage in it, which pisses me off. It's the principle. And if they somehow took my truck somewhere, that would make me even more angry. But I'll never know. "No harm, no foul" I suppose, very minor thing but thought I'd share it.

Someone at the Factory definitely drives some of the new trucks. Mine was built in June. When it finally showed up on the truck in September, it had 90 miles on it! I feel like I got a parts runner truck.

Don't give them too much credit. They are legally obligated to fill the tank since you paid for it.

As of last Friday it was 07DEC. As of yesterday it was 11DEC. So at the attrition rate of 4 days per week it should be here in 11 weeks! Customer service just called before this post was done. Her ears are probably still ringing. Did not shoot the messenger but was not nicey-nice either. Dealer called Ford yesterday and tried to move things up (the truck has been "in transit" almost 3 weeks now but still sitting in Louisville.) It amazes me how I can always find the checkout line with the most coupons in front of me, the customer who needs one more item while holding up the line, or the manufacturer who ignores those who placed orders simply on promises of a great vehicle. And maybe this explains why I will never go to a Casino.

We used to live about 2 miles from the plant. I would see new Super Duty trucks all day long around the area. Kroger,KFC, McDonalds etc.

Son of a biscuit! Good news it's built, now it needs a ride. This end of the process (and I know you agree the whole of the process) is begging for a logistics shakeup. They should hire a big timer from UPS or FedEx or even Apple and get this mierda streamlined! Must be a bump or stall in addition to the bedliners. Who knows what it could be, there's no telling. Oval had a good quarter though, better move these units to keep it that way.

Just in keeping with this post...Only thing I noticed in my truck...which I did not notice in my 2011...was the suction cup circles everywhere from the machines putting in parts. I had suction cup circles on the front window...on the inside and outside...on the sunroof, inside and outside. Also suction cup marks on the sides of the console just below the cup holders. Just found it odd these weren't wiped off from the factory or at the dealer. I know what they are from...just weird that they were still there at delivery.

Bought a new Corvette and it had a rattle in the passenger door on a rough road or speed bump. Dealer claimed they could not duplicate.

Couple of years later driving I hit a hard pothole. Later I discovered the drivers window did not go down fully. I pulled the door panel off and found a wrench in there, IIRC he had GM on it or something...guess the break whistle blew and the guy laid his wrench in the door.

HaHa. Probably shut the whole line down while they ordered a new wrench from China!!

That's a part of the media hub door assy. Have service check yours to make sure that guide piece is still on your door. Here's where it is, highlighted in yellow.
