Good catch. There was a report last December that we could write to the IPC at register 720-07-01 but the reported values did not work. As we now know, no writing to the IPC is allowed. Hence the feature is reported as "REJECTED - Does not Work". Looking forward to trying again when we get access to that module.

No, it is not. Those values display on all 2017 Super Dutys once the temps rise above "normal."

You can see this is a Job 1 truck when they show the backseat...no USB ports.

As Tyler said, it's not new. It will display on all trucks when they reach a certain temp then turns back off when it drops. I think the cut off is 215.

Was that last scare a fluke then?... my chickenship azz went back to the factory hex code on Bambi mode when it was reported flaky things happening.

I kinda want that Bambi mode back and maybe the 2x honk disable.

If you're taking about my weird Forscan behavior...yeah, it has been fine ever since. I never reverted to stock. Everything seems totally fine.

Do all 2017 Super Duties come with the 8" cluster display or are there some trim levels like the XLT/XL on the F150 that come with the 4" display? The reason I ask is if anyone has a 4" cluster display that is thinking of upgrading to the 8" display I could program the 8" display's IPC as-built values to the changes that FORScan can't currently access. So if anyone is considering this I will program this for free if the new cluster is sent to me. I can edit these values directly on the EEPROM chip and also do mileage correction & engine hours so the new cluster matches your current mileage. I'm only offering this because I'm curious if the 2017 SD can show the temps above gauges full time as well as the other wanted changes. PM me if interested.

I read through this thread, man did that take a long time, and I see references to the 'Police mod' to prevent the transmission from being shifted out of park if the fob is not in the truck. I looked through the spreadsheet, but do not see the codes to activate this. It is possible I missed it, but I even searched for a variety of words based on the thread, and still found nothing.

Is this not something that can be activated?

Try this:
BCM 726-42-01 x1xx xxxx xxxx if engine is running but fob is away from vehicle, vehicle cannot be put into any gear

On the very first page of this thread is a link to the spreadsheet. Line 12 has the code, same one Livinitup just posted. And it works.

FYI: XL trims have a 2.3" monochrome LCD
XLT trims have a 4.2" color LCD
Lariat+ trims have the 8" color LCD
