For me, I only wanted the 4 door. The '12 had great build quality. The dashboard materials were absolutely made of a higher quality material than what's in my 2017 Super Duty. Most of the switchgear was better, too.
Funny, I also had a 2000 Jetta. It was a 2.0L with a 5-speed manual and a sunroof. I liked the car but I had quite a few issues with it once it got up to around 125k miles or so. I traded it for a brand new 2010 Jetta (2.5L 5-cylinder, 5-speed manual) with a sunroof and "Vtex" fake leather. I liked the car quite well until I crashed it on icy Vermont roads...hitting 3 trees and rolling down a 40-foot embankment. That insurance payout led to the 2012 GTI...

My Jetta was a GLX 6MT, VR6. The MAF died just after the warranty went out. But they fixed it under warranty since I was so low on miles.
Around 80k the front drivers seat turned into a rocking chair. Had a local "Euro-shop" weld it back together for $100 since the dealer wanted $1500 to fix the seat. Sold it to a family friend at 82k. Still going strong.
I don't like 4 doors on small cars like the Golf. I think it looks silly. Plus, I only use the back seat when I drop it down to load crap in it. It's also a great excuse to not drive the crew to lunch.

I had a small one yrs ago that we put in our 2004 f 250 crew cab short box lots of good times till my 2 boys got too big for sleeping on dinette table. That's the biggest over the cab I've seen (Maybe because of short box) how does it handle?

The only thing I have on the truck in this picture are the lower StableLoads from Torklift. I just got the upper in this week and have yet to put them on. There is a fair amount of rocking side to side, nothing dangerous, just not very comfortable. I hope the upper StableLoads solves that. If not I'll be adding a BigWig
Thanks for the comments guys. I went form this;
2008 Rubicon w/ 37s & 5.7 HEMI Transplant
to this;
I bought it from Tom's CamperLand in Mesa, AZ. They had some with a white exterior and white jacks. The grey and black look much better on my truck. Not only do I get to drive a MUCH NICER more POWERFUL vehicle, I have a toilet and a shower! I put the back seats up and set the table and chairs in there. Still have room for the inflatable SeaEagle Kayak I plan to buy.
