Absolutely.

I bought new rims and tires in June last year.
Problem with the tires having bad belts, bit of a run around with General getting the tires taken care.
Eventually they agreed to replace two.
This is what the Goodyear dealer did to my new rim.

The tire monkey clamped the wrong side of the wheel - and then denied it, after showing me which machine they used.

What was the issue with the run-a-round concerning the stock tires?
Did the Goodyear dealer replace the rims they damaged?

Tires - 2 days over the 30 day customer satisfaction guarantee
Wheel - I am filing a small claims court action against the dealer

The only the thing the dealer offered to do was to remove the tire and send the wheel out for powder coating

I'm on the verge of buying a 2017 F-450, I live in Alberta and yes we have snow. I use the F-450 to tow my 17'000 lb 5th wheel mostly on the highway going south during the summer months and will drive the truck in our Canadian winter... I had the idea of keeping the Conti that will come with the truck for the summer and perhaps go with some Michelin XDS-2 (G rated) as a dedicated set of winter, any comment, advice...

I also see some people went with the Toyo 920 on the stock rim ( all around) did you went with 245/70 R19.5 and just sold the Conti that came with the truck... could also be an alternative...

Btw I'm new to Ford .... I'm a GM guy but honestly Ford really nail it with the new Super Duty, GM is sleeping on that one.

Well i'm biased lol
I have the toyo 920's 245's i really like them they run true down the road,a great winter tire that you can run all season and for me the 245's fill in the fender wells better!
Yes they are louder then stock I've really come to like the hum of them
I'm in the process of moving to a house on the lake near by and there's a dirt road 4 miles long to get to my place i do find the lug pattern to be just the right size to hold stones. When you get on the highway they do come out and i think i'm going to have a ton of stone chips in no time just something i need to accept.

In my situation I drive a lot on gravel roads.
This has me thinking twice about the 920's. And at $480 per tire I want to make the right choice.
I'm in Saskatchewan and I'm going to run the factory tires this winter and see what they are like.
I'd like a set of steelies and those big 285's for winter.

Bronc71,

What tire pressure to you run your 245/70 Toyo 920's ?

Do you adjust the pressure when you tow the 5th wheel or when you run it empty ?

I took delivery of my truck the beginning of February I only drove around one day with the stock tires there was a pretty good snowstorm going on that day I could not drive anywhere unless I was in four-wheel-drive and it was very nerve racking.
The next day I installed my 920s and haven't looked back since absolutely a great snow tire
if I could do it again I would consider maybe running the stock tires during the summer months and the 920s for the winter.
I absolutely do not recommend running the stock tires in the winter.

I'm running 80psi in the front and 70psi in the rear
I do not re-adjust for towing my fifth wheel or my John Deere 310
even at those lower pressures I never see a tire bulge at all

Just got our 2017 F-450 Platinum last friday. Well coming from GM I can tell you that truck is really nice.

I still need to figure out, do I have TPMS on the truck ( 19.5 wheels) and if yes how can I access the information on the central display.

So from whet I got it's no problems to mount the 245 on the 6.0 rims and 80/70psi is the sweet spot..

Just asking because I go to install mine this week and will tell the Tire shop what PSI.

How do you rotate them... just left to right every oil change ?

Thierry

I plan to swap my fronts periodically, especially early in their life when the tread is deep. I doubt I'll swap the backs often, if at all.

Well I'm not going to say it's no problem mounting them some shops will say you need a 6.5" rim i went to 3 shops before finding one that would mount them he didn't ask and i never mentioned it.
I rotate side to side every oil change. Now have 17,000 miles on it and wear looks very even so far just did a trip to Halifax 2600 miles round trip towing my 44ft cyclone got 10.5 miles per gallon! I'm happy with those numbers there are some good rolling hills through there

That's quite a trip!
How was the tire noise? I've read various things about these toyo's.
And I'm used to Super Swampers and MTR's and the noise they make.
