vintage pics of days gone by

Here's a photo of some Pennsylvania Game Commission personnel preparing to stock some ring-necked pheasants (taken c.1950). The tall fella with the light-colored shirt is my grandfather, who was a Deputy Game Protector at the time. This photo was also used in the October 2015 Pennsylvania Game News publication in an article celebrating 100 years of pheasant stocking in PA.
Good to see you posting again. How's your 55 coming along?

Hi Abe - yes, that would have been NW PA Erie, Crawford, Warren counties. '55 is coming along (haven't posted anything on FB lately). Currently working on some patch welding on the bottom of the cowl/inside of rocker panel flap areas on both sides. Just headed out to the garage now. Still waiting on some parts - every thing seems to be on backorder, and it's starting to cut into my overall schedule (grrr). I'll have some pics to post soon!

The first car that I restored was a 31 Vicky like the picture above, that was over 40 years ago! It was a car that I did not keep long. My wife claimed it was too hot in the summer. I replaced it with a 34 Tudor. The cowl vent made a big improvement for summer driving. I sold that car also but enjoyed it for 15 years. The guy that bought the 34 did the Great Race cross country with it.
