"THEM"! A 1954 classic horror movie with James Whitmore, James Arness, Fess Parker and a small part for Leonard Nemoy as an Air Force Sgt.

James Whitmore pulls a Thompson out of the trunk of his Ford cop car.... Were they standard equipment or police model only?

Standard equipment for that movie!! A friend of mine was a Captain in the local police department last century, and he was in charge of equipment purchases and they had Thompsons but they didn't like them so he traded them for M-16s. Go figure! They didn't carry them in any cars. They were in the armory.

Here is an old picture I stumbled upon while cleaning up my computer files. The person on the left is my dad. The picture is from the late 19teens or early 1920s. The truck is an International that was destroyed in a shed fire.

How cool do you have to be to have a Jaguar motor home? Or, is 'cool' the correct adjective in this situation?

This shot really illustrates how far car/truck culture has changed. We've gone from putting car bodies on truck chassis' to putting truck bodies on car chassis'. This looks like the prototype for the crew cab pickup.

Being a jaguar purist, that's triflin'. That poor MK IV
