question about axle code.
My axle code is: 08 a site told me that that is Ford 3.50 3.3M.
is that a ford 9"? from underneath it looks like one. and how do I find out if it's an open rear or locking rear (besides burning out).

question about axle code.
The code says it's open. Jack up the rear tires off the ground and turn one tire, the other should turn in the same direction. Trans has to be in neutral so make sure the front tires are blocked.

thanks for the quick reply, open rear (darn) no point in putting better gears in it then. does anyone know of a place to get all the parts to make it a locking rear? I wanted to drop 3:73 or 4:10 gears in.
