Check engine light

My check engine light comes on when i give the truck alot of gas and stays on. i took the cat off but that was a long time ago and it never came on. The sensor is still hooked up to the exhaust but i have never changed it. Any body have any ideas on what could be causing this. Thanks

Check engine light

The first step is to check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes if the check engine light is on . Here is a reference if you need some help with retrieving the codes . http://www.batauto.com/Ford.html
