Here I am again. Ive searched all over and cant seem to find the answer to a question that I should know. I know what the MAP sensor does. I dont want to r&r it. I just would like to know where it is on my truck. Im confident that I dont have a MAF sensor cuz Ive never seen a sensor anywhere near my air filter. Im gonna assume that I have that big black map sensor, but I cant seem to find it anywhere under my hood. Its not in any of my pubs anywhere that I saw. Im hoping you guys can steer me in the right direction. All thanks for you guys help in advance.
Check under the cowling, mounted to the firewall on the passenger's side next to the evap. core/blower motor box. It should have a single vacuum hose running off it to the vacuum tree on the upper intake, as well as the plug running back to the wiring harness.
Chris, just to be clear, what you've found is the MAP sensor; the MAF sensor would be just on the throttle body side of the air filter box. Your original post and title was a bit ambiguous as to what you were looking for, but you were correct that your '91 does not have a MAF sensor.
