zf-5speed reverse problems
Ok ever since I bought the truck the revese gear likes to grind no matter what I do sometimes it will act as if nothing is wrong it will not grind at all. its ever hopped out of reverse Is the tranny screwed or is it poor driving. is it worth it money and labor wise to go with a 6speed what rearend gears would go good with this transmisson.I have 4.10s looking for about the same set up as far as towing and working the truck in the same just an extra gear to do it with(if my transmission is bad). this has to do with the truck on my signiture

Before shifting into reverse, do you shift into a forward gear? Going into a forward gear stops all the internals from spinning, which then allows you to shift into the non=syncroed reverse without gear grinding.
