I'd stay away from LMC unless you absolutely have to. I've had nothing but problems with them. Is this for your 78? If so, you can try Dennis Carpenter. That's where I've gotten all my sheet metal for my 67.

You know it's a "deal" when the price isn't even listed. Another example of a really nice truck though.

Well if they have an unlimited budget here is a super nice one. Even has a Cummins 6bt conversion and I would assume an NV4500?

I think he's wanting to stay around 5K. I suggested looking down south, and out west. You can find some really clean iron in Montana, Oregon, and Washington, if you stay away from the coast.

Did anyone but me notice that on the truck add in Washington Mo, that the fenderwell exit header pic they are on a F250 with front leaf springs.....and he said he kept the coil spring radius arm front suspension....interesting.

All that work and he could not put map pockets back on the door and just left all the holes...am I picky or what? lol

Speaking of details...I finally located a 55/64 and a 7/8 drill bit to borrow, those big ol ones are $$$$. So hopefully I will get the RED Bronco's steering back in order tonight.

A then I have to work out the steering limit bolt settings (the old one was broke off on the passenger side) so I do not blow out the new axle u joint....but I want max steering ability, it's always something little and "detail orientated". lol

Well, I think the harness is done. The next question is do I final wrap it and hope there isn't anything wrong with it or wait until I've got it running and drag it out to wrap it...

Dad has an appointment in Springfield tomorrow so progress will be severely limited.

good afternoon all... I didn't get a lot done but at least I made it to the shop for more than a hour... did get the new serp. belt and wiper on the S10 so that was something.
I played with the flat-bump some.... made a wedge spacer for the intake on the flat-bump...I got the oil drained, thermostat installed new alt put on.. alt, power steering belts, distributor cleaned and the pertronix unit I got offa rich installed and a few other items done.. I took a few pics.. don't have the energy to clean, grease, install new seals and install the heavy hubs so will put that off till the weekend..

Looking good RC. At least you have something more than a tangle of wires to show for a hard day's work.

It sure isn't pretty and no one will ever mistake it for a factory harness, but it's done and should work. I've tested every connection I can and it seems like everything is going where it should. I won't stop double guessing myself until it's running and everything is working like it should...

looking good dave... I know about wiring harness's.. it took me 2 solid weeks to build the one for a 48 ford I built a few years back... had to hand build it from several years and manufactures cars and trucks... in the mid 80's no one was making after market wiring for fuel injected, auto overdrive. shaved everything and hydraulic tilt frt.cap type trucks..

Wrap it AFTER install, test run and tune...

I go the passenger side knuckle drilled, and all back together, and the steering limit bolt all adjusted. Then I decoded to insp and retorque the dvrs side wheel bearings, I had a little play in wheel and tire once the other side was up in the air.

Got that all done and then fired it up for a test drive, ran great then developed back fire/miss fire/run like a POS syndrome....finally got it back to the barn.

I though the conversion to electronic ing and the tune up was working great, guess not.

I only drove down the road to the bro inlaws driveway and turned around then back up the road to the house it started acting all sorts of stupid. No sign of arcing or exterior sparking...

Thanks for the offer to assist, I have to go to RS for a dvrs side door for a fellow KC member Sat am, to deliver Sun when we go see my mom. But if you really really want to make the drive, I sure will take a hand with it.

Your bump flattie is looking good.
