Your work really looks fantastic! You are really making a smooth transition from wood to the windshield header. I am glad that you have made time to move forward. You are setting a great example!
Gary, I suppose you know you won't get to keep it. It's going to be so cool that some rich collector will offer you way more than you can refuse.
That's pretty much the idea... Then I can build another next year. My first ten years of work was boatbuilding. After 35 years of mostly kitchen cabinets, I crave the challenge of the woodie. Danny, my employee of 16 years (and counting) likes the steady nature and repetition of cabinets, so he stays in the cabinet shop so I can create. Lately there has been a ton of custom furniture so I've been way too steady in the cabinet shop working with him. Well, except for today.... And thanks for all the compliments from all. Wood is what I do. You don't see me posting pictures of my welds or body work....
I wish I could spend that amount of time on a project. I, like everyone else out there, am too impatient and want to get to the end. I love watching the progress even if it is a slow one. You'll be very satisfied when done and I can't wait to see it.
For working and all else that you are involved in I think you moving quite rapidly! I have watched this project from the start and I am very envious of the knowledge that you have. I am just the opposite of you. I can weld any thing and if you can put a grinder on it and throw sparks I can do something with it. Unfortunately I built a dog a house years ago and when the dog looked at it he ran away and I haven't seen him since

Maybe you should have built him a dog house out of steel! Doggie Tuff-shed....
Been working on roof assembly. Next I will rout down a rabbet in the long stringers to accept the 1/2" roof slats so they will flush out with the roof beams. There will be steel brackets at each pillar to stringer intersection. I now have the steel to fabricate them.
