That looks like quite a load in front of the trailer axle. If you're not careful with how you load it, you could really overload the tongue.
The front axle of the cars I've carried always end up behind the side door opening. The empty trailer drops the ball about an inch and a half when hooked up then I pull whatever I'm carrying in far enough to drop the ball about another inch and a half or so. That gets the ball height between 18-19". I have the my RAS set at a loose white disk. At some point I might tighten the RAS to slide the black disk in and see how that tows. But, I'm pleasantly surprised with the handling as is with no WDH. This is the 3rd truck I've used to pull the trailer. The others were a Ram 2500 4X4 and a previous gen F150.
I had a 1967 Chevy II pro street that I was going to bracket race so I bought the trailer with plans to add cabinets, generator, winch, etc. in the nose but plans changed and all I'm using it for is dragging my 32 around. I might swap it out for a 20' ATC next year. Lighter and more compact.
Wow, what a great looking bunch of trucks!! You guys have outdone yourselves with some to the mods I'm seeing!! I only have pics from the dealers lot and have since installed 14" antenna, the center front bumper chrome area wrapped in matching Caribou, removed the Ecoboost badging, installed rear wheel well liners, and reversed the white sidewall lettering so I now have black sidewalls:
I have added the window tint to all windows 360, vent shades over the windows, factory molded mud flaps These are a must keeping the sides clean and chip free,Rear wheel well liners in the back " these should come standard on all new trucks, Rear airbags by firestone, Roll up cover by Access I have had these on many trucks and they are top quality for the price. Upgraded LED Plate lights "CJ PONY PARTS" Roush cold air intake with filter, saving the factory interior carpet mats " Color keyed " replaced front and rear with husky exact fit liners Best fit in floor liners IMHO, Door sills protected with 3m clear film, all trim protected with Carpro Delux, Interior treated with Carpro Fabric protector on carpet, Carpro reload used on paint after every wash until I have time for CQUARTZ Coating. Had the truck 2 months has 403 miles on it. Have a leveling kit still on the fence " AUTOSPRING 2" Not sure if I will replace the 4 shocks upgrade to Bilstein's that's about all at this point thus far. IT'S NOT A SUPERDUTY THATS FOR SURE NOT POSITIVE I MADE THE RIGHT MOVE GETTING A 150. I guess I need to drive it and find out how it's gonna hold up. Not doing much long distance towing any longer I guess it's time to relax and enjoy a quiet Luxury ride. These trucks are very well built and the quality shows, Not sure I needed a limited but it's nice to be a little different sometimes. # 1783 of 5000
