MAIDEN VOYAGE!
Well guys, we spent till 2am last night installing the door glass and all but finished the interior. This morning we took her to town for the first time in 12 months and stopped by O'reilly's where Ive been buying my parts to show the guys.
We drove around for maybe 20 miles and then came home. The truck temp was running about 185 - 190 on the back roads and the stop and go traffic in town with the A/C on and it was 100 in Oklahoma today. I wanted to see what the temp would do just at idle in my driveway with the A/C. It slowley crept to 205 and then the lower radiaror POPED OFF and made a huge mess! Guess I didnt have the hose all the tight. So, new hose clamp and 4 gallons of coolant and off for another test drive. Tepms remained the same and I was too tired to see where it would level off at idle.
Problems we discovered:
Exhaust leak somewhere on passenger side. Slight ticking.
The A/C evaporator makes a ton of water and some is leaking into the cab under the carpet. Dont know really way to do, dont want to have to pull the box apart =(
Other than that, we are very happy. it look good and motor responds great with the FiTech.
Question, What temp should I start worrying at? 220? 230? If the thermostat is a 195 I assume a temp of 200-210 is okay. Thanks!
I love this pic!
Under dash LED's come on when doors are open.
Bronco Graveyard door panels. Fit like garbage!
This is the best we could get the gap!
My redneck light job until we get the bed on.
New windshield!

Im going to look at timing today.... Thank for the reply!

Started early today. Took the glove box out and took off the cover to the evaporator and calked the seam to the water would stop dripping inside. Then changed my timing from 14 degrees to 10 and that seemed to make it run better and also kept my heat down. After a drive around the neighborhood I parked in the sun in my driveway with the AC blasting for about 30 min. Temp on the computer showed 199 and the gauge read like 203 and that was in the sun at about 103 outside air temp. So with that I think Im okay.
AC was a little low so I added about 5oz of 134a and with that the AC was blowing only 68 in the cab. Again, that was at idle in the sun. the suction line on the compressor was VERY cold. Think Ill leave it alone as that is about as cold as my Excursion blows at idle.
I never had an oil pressure gauge before so dont know if 25psi is normal while idle and hot? The stock gauge reads in the normal range. It comes up quite a bit while driving.

Thanks everyone!
So started on the bed today. I decided to cannibalize the front of bed off of my old white '77. I went out, turned the propane on, and she fired right up. I haven't started it in over a month.
Had to move the propane tank back to get room for my sawsall
No rust.
this is what Ill be replacing.

Well, bad news.... I decided to go out and poke around and found some rust. I never really looked too close because I was only needing the bed.
Cab mounts and floors look good. Drivers side cab corner needs replaced.
but I just removed the rear window rubber and there is a nice size hole.
Sorry fellas. Still yours if you want it. I need the front clip and the A/C box on the firewall though.
Its in Oklahoma City.
