HELP! 78 F150 SuperCab need new headliner and headliner board

I could not find a headliner for the SuperCab and wanted to know if you have seen anything out there and what to use for the headliner board that is wrecked as well.

Thanks for your insight!

I would try 1/4" lauan plywood it bends and contours well. Just seal it. It is an underlayment for flooring. It can be bought at Home Depot and Lowes etc.

To create a wider workable piece simply cut a 3"-5" piece/ strip and glue it to the back of the two halves at the seam to join and make the larger than 48" width.

Yes I did measure it and it came out to 49 1/2 on the top of the old headliner.

Stock interiors makes one, but its folded in half for shipping (shipping is extra). I believe they include a "stiffening" strip to tape over the fold. I didn't like that solution so I'm working with a friend that does a lot of fiberglass work and we're making a single piece headliner for my truck. I cut the roof off an old cab (with rusted out drip rails) and brought it to him along with a barely holding together headliner. I thought he was going to make me a "one off" headliner, but instead he created a fiberglass plug of the entire roof (inside of cab) that's the exact shape of the headliner. He can now create as many headliners as he can find customers for. Of course shipping on them will be the limiting factor. He's located in Maryland.

I've seen the fiberglass ones for the big rigs and thought cool what if? For some one that needs a crew cab headliner on our trucks with speaker pockets and maybe an over head center console that's the shxt right there.

I made mine and several others for members here from fiberglass. The headliner is more than 48” in both directions (about 50x54 or so) which makes anything that comes in a 4x8 sheet need a seam. I have heard of people using thin (1/8” or so) abs and seaming that with abs adhesive.

I made mine by making a full size flat mold and then doing 5 or 6 layers of high density glass weave. The semi-flexible sheet when cured bends to the roof contour well.
