I get those kind of #s with my 2012 F250 & comparable conditions. Now all you have to do is to justify the payments. You're welcome.

With that kind of mileage I would much rather have the F250.

My friend has a 6.2 F250, his wife recently got a tundra. I tried to tell him to get her a F150 but his wife called the shot. They get the same mpgs he told me. All I could say was told you so.

I traded my 2007 Tundra for my new 2016 6.2 and I get the same if not better mileage than I did on my Tundra. The Tundra has a ton of power but for a half ton truck, the mileage is horrible and until this year's model, they had a very small gas tank. Go figure.

I'm getting 11.5 combined driving and 14.5 on the freeway going about 65-70, according to the lie-o-meter. So far has 1000 miles on it. Haven't hand calculated yet, will do so next tank.

Ohio to South Carolina... WV hills, and all
went down in November and returned in March of this year..

6.2L Gas, 2,000 pounds in the bed of truck and pulling a Full travel trailer of about 9,500 pounds...
Cat scale at departure time is 16,800 pounds total rig.
I got 9.8 going south and 9.2 going north...

in the Carolinas on short entertainment trips of 200 to 400 miles I was averaging 18 on the flat lands.... and in Ohio I average 15 to 17...

Fyi my 2012 has 144,000 miles and uses no fluids.. Period.

fyi..second my 1965 Impala SS 409, 4 speed, 4:11 final drive got 9.... on hightest... and just me in the car.. at 3,500 pounds.

WHAT IS GAS MILEAGE???????? I can not believe the great gas miles these 6.2 get when working.

After 20k on mine and I get about 16.5 on highway and 13 city. If I travel at 50 to 55 mph I get 18 mpg!

New F250 CC 4x4

Recently bought an F250 for hauling purposes. Switching from F150. Haven't had the truck 2 weeks yet but have already learned to ease into the pedal. Switched from factory 245/75/17 to 285/70/17. Have done a few short haul, already in love with the truck.

like

taking 5 seconds to reach 10 miles per hour.. then slowly increase your speed..

coast to a slow speed coming to a stop light... NO hard Braking... coast down.

take skill and practice to get better gas mileage... learn grasshopper.

My 2011 6.2 continues to amaze me.

In the last 6 weeks I have been to the racetrack trying to trace problems with the race car.
In 5 trips to the track I have traveled over 900 miles with the car on the open trailer as seen in the pic.

My hand calculated mileage is 14 mpg ( dash wasn't lying...it also said 14.0 )

That same car in a 20 ft enclosed would get around 10 mpg at best.
Pulling the open trailer empty to pick up a rear end it got 15.5 mpg @ 70 mph.

Very pleased with it

I have a 2016 250 long bed CC 4x4 4.30 ..... 295's and a leveling kit.... avgs 9.6 I get 6.5 pulling my boat 65. This is with a five star tune. It now has 5k miles. What am I missing. The mileage is beyond terrible. My dads is a short bed no lift 3.73 with 285's and his is 5 mpg better across the board

I get about 10mpg average between highway, city and towing a 10k trailer with the 4.30 gears. My friend Has the 3.73 gears and averages 14mpg and pulls a 10k trailer. 4.30 gears give you worse mileage and a little more torque. That 6.5 seems low. I've read through a lot of posts on here and the guys getting the higher mpg's have the 3.73's. You may get a little better mileage after putting more miles on your truck.

man that's disheartening. Whole reason I got the taller gear was so the truck wouldn't hunt gears on the highway with the boat which it seems

to do anyways.
