If your keeping your original front ABS you'll need to cut a hole in the left bracket behind the cross member in order to route the rear brake line down thru the frame properly.
Front brake lines will have to be modified to run behind the cross member, the track bar and steering stabilizer mounts make rerouting the line in front of the cross member nearly impossible.
My 07 donor had the ABS near the firewall that would have required lots of wiring relocating in order to use it on my 04 so I modified the lines to work with the 07's front frame.

Sway bar question
How did you guys do the sway bar as it is behind the axle on leaf spring trucks and in front on coil spring trucks? Looks like the welded a bracket to the frame. I have an 05 excursion and am ready to do this but don't want any delays right in the middle. Anyone have an 05 to 08 rolling chassis they want to sell?

The mounting holes for the sway-bar-in-the-front option are there. Just use the mounts/bushings from the donor vehicle. It all bolts right in since the frame is set up for 2wd options at the factory, and the 2wd 05 trucks had the sway bar in the front.

I swapped out the front frame section on my F-450, the engine was out and it was simpler to swap the entire front section than to swap the parts.
Not sure about F-250-350's but the steering box for the F-450-550 was changed in 05 to a beefier box with larger mounting bolts and a different bolt pattern making it nearly impossible to swap to my 04 frame.

2007 is the cut off for similar frame geometry in the front section. The 2008 model year uses an entirely different hydroformed front frame sections, with frame horns that dip down to eliminate the need for a blocker beam. The change in elevation profile of the 2008+ front frame section means a change in sway bar mounting brackets, steering box mounting, heat exchanger and radiator support mounting, etc etc.
Are the axles the same for all superdutys regardless of engine size?

The '08+ rear springs are longer, and they cannot be used on your X without modifying your X spring mounting points.
The steering gear box on the 08+ trucks is different due to the input shaft change. You will need a gearbox from an 05-07, and likely the pitman arm as well, unless you get the whole shaft from the steering column off the 08 and splice it into your old one.
The axles 05+ are all the same regardless of engine, so there is some good news for you.
