You either got it going or you went back to the Walmart and got another one.

I got a Snapper last year at Walmart.

 

Yeah I got it going. The pullstring was broke, so I fixed that. Was blowing oil out of the muffler because someone overfilled it with oil, so I changed the oil. And someone broke the return spring on the throttle so it was running wide open, so I had to fashion a throttle cable with some clothesline wire, lol

I bought that mower when I was like 13 or 14 to mow grass for money. I paid $119 for it. It's a Murray 22" with a smallish 3.75 hp Briggs on it

Sounds like time for a new one Clint ...LOL

 

Farm&Fleet probably has a universal throttle cable that will work.
Just Yankee ingenuity at work.
