Well guys, she's home, and tucked away for a few weeks until we get some nicer weather. Now, to load her up and start the mods!
Initial impressions: this thing is put together better than any RV we've purchased in the past. Only issue my wife found (and she is VERY particular) was a door and a drawer that didn't close tight enough (may pop open during travel), a tiny spot on the couch which was removed, and a tiny blemish on a cabinet door (which I will just cover with a wood marker). The dealership was amazing to work with and they didn't try to pull any upsell crap with warranties or anything else. I recommend these folks to anyone interested in a Grand Design product.
This thing tows like a dream! We would get a bit of bounce from our other fiver, but almost nothing from this one...and this one weighs about 3500 lbs more (according to the stickers). This one doesn't have the Reese Side Winder hitch either, and I'm thinking it was causing some of the bounce. As you can see, it squats the F350 just a tad, but I don't think it is bad at all, and the trailer looks to be nearly perfectly level (I forgot to bring my tape measure to check it).
We'll see how things go on the first trip, but we love it so far! The kids have claimed the heated and massaging recliners already.
A few pics (don't mind the yard trailer full of fire-starter cardboard boxes )
