Same to you Rodney! And everyone else!

A day late but notice what's missing?

Took my buddy's Sigle cab GMC pulling and the Kubota pushing but we got it! Once it cleared the fence we laid more logs in front and rolled it over the logs with the tractor pushing. Complete mess of slop but it's moved and it stayed together!

My buddy that stopped over to help works the same as myself, theres plenty of will, the way will come! Shed is packed and Mommas car is back in the garage. Really surprised I didn't get the zero turn stuck in the mess of slop back there! Planning to load the branch pile Monday since it's supposed to be cold and frozen. Maybe take down 1 of 3 remaining trees and stake out the building position so I can figure out floor height. Pouring here again. The ground doesn't need this, it's hard to grade mud!

I like to run 144 on something with this much power but on a single ply track, I decided to stick with the recommended 96. If I ever get 2 ply tracks to replace these, I'll go back to 144.

I’m getting ready to purchase a new hitch and need assistance from the best money spending thread that I know of. I think I recall Rodney having one of the hitches that I’m considering. I’m going back and forth between the Weigh Safe and the B&W Tow and Stow. First let me say that I absolutely love B&W products. I don’t have any experience with Weigh Safe, but I like the look of them and the fact that it won’t rust.

I’m currently running a standard, non adjustable, 6 inch drop 2 1/2” shank hitch in my 3” receiver with the reducer sleeve. I’m not a fan of using the sleeve, so I’m after a 3” shank hitch. My fixed 6” seems to work pretty well for everything that I tow (bumper pull).

The Weigh Safe options are 6” and 8” adjustable drop. I think I would just go with the 6” just to keep from having the extra 2 inches hanging down. The possible downside to this hitch is that you can’t turn it around in the “stowed” position. Though I’m not even sure if I would use that feature. Upside is that there’s only one ball on there at a time. It’s a cleaner look. The only negative reviews I’ve seen, are about the weight scale failing. I know it’s their main selling point, but I really could care less about that feature.

The B&W 3” shank, comes in 4 1/2” and 7 1/2” drop. I would surely have to go with the larger one, and live with the extra hanging down. Because of all the pins on this hitch, it just looks like it would rattle around more, but I don’t really see any negative reviews about that. In fact I really haven’t seen any negative reviews at all.

The two hitches are almost exactly the same price. What do you guys think?

I don't value the "stow" position Lee as when my hitch is not in use, it's not in my receiver. With a OE lowered 2022, you will probably get away with the 6" version. I need a 7" drop for both my trailers. I know B&W makes a quality product so I don't think you'd go wrong with either choice. My money is on Weigh Safe though. The scale is a gimmick but one I'd pay for again if I had to. I like it...

Thanks Rodney. I have been leaning towards the weigh safe. I’m glad to hear that you have been happy with yours.

I also have a weigh safe. The big selling point for me is it is light aluminum. If I am not towing something, it gets stowed in the truck.
