R,
You may consider purchasing one of these cars from a southern state to avoid the rust repairs. Those were fun cars btw... My friends had a Monte SS, Mustang GT, and I had a Camaro IROC Z and I would recommend any one of them.

I have decided to step back from the one I found here. The options were right and it had T tops but the rust left me feeling meh. I agree on the southern car idea Troy. My step dad was a big car guy and all his vehicles came from the south via InterCity Lines trucking. What I'd love to find is one that someone has done a manual conversion on. The kit is cheap enough but the labor is another story. I've always found that it's a much better deal to buy someone else's project that they are done with and want to move than trying to do it yourself.

R,
Here's one for your viewing entertainment... BTW my mom drove a 1984 Monte Carlo Brougham and it was a good car for it's day.

Sweet example Troy. It's not silver but... LOL. The one I found was cheap with T tops so that was appealing. Sometimes you get what you pay for though...

I had a 84 Monte SS, after the engine gave out it got a 383 stroker that would handle a 250 shot of Noz if I wanted to. Sold it, I'm done tinkering with old vehicles after I drove the Grand Cherokee Track Hawk.

Pre emissions is another reason why I like the 80's. The stock 180hp 305 wouldn't stay in there long John...

Mine was White also Gerry, the Aero Coupe would be the only one to consider purchasing if I were looking.

The T-Tops were just trouble from day one and the Aero was limited, should hold value since they are harder to find.

Well, on a daily driver I can see that but I wouldn’t sweat it on a garage queen…

Rodney that bear looks like BIG sob! Wow. Bears spook the hell out of me. Don't know why, just always have. I'd just give up on the bird feeders, lol.

Got the camper back today and ready to start up a few more mods before we head out in 2 weeks. Need to make a new lexan wall for the back of the Nautilus panel, and want to remove the washer hookups from the water system. Just one more thing to sanitize and winterize and we'll never use it. Also going to redo the outside spray port with PEX and a shutoff valve while I'm at it. Think that's it for now.

Also welded a receiver tube on the bottom of the tractor ballast box so I can move my yard wagon without removing the box. Found no hitch really annoying last weekend and don't want to wrestle the ballast box on and off all the time.

Camper finally home eh Scott? This is the time of year I miss having an RV the most. Dewinterizing and getting ready for the season. Planning the trips. Heck, Elyse and I would go out and sit in there to get hyped up about the coming year. Anyways, have you got anywhere with the land purchase?
