Stihl has a way to go on perfecting 4 mix. Everyone I know with them is unimpressed with the performance and they are in the shop a lot. Maybe they are a couple years old and the new stuff is better? When I started asking around while deciding between Echo and Stihl, everyone seemed to have the same reply...
My wife had her own business doing yard work before retiring. We have several weed eaters, the Stihl 075 two stroke is her favorite. We also have one of the 4-mix units with a few different attachments, it's heavy and vibrates but sounds really cool.
I was able to buy a new cylinder and piston for the 075 and rebuilt it last winter.
Well, right now I only have the one 4-mix product - the KM131R...and you know the issues I've had. But the replacement to the first one probably has 40+ hours on it without any real problems. It does have a bit of vibration, but I don't think that's the engine's fault. We'll see how it does next year where it will accrue 100+ more hours.
New rims, logo on the seat, mulch kit. I like the rims but why pay for alloy rims on a mower? The hydraulic mulch kit I'm assuming allows you to switch between mulch and discharge on the fly? Sounds like a fancy version of Honda's Clip Director. Kind of cool!
The sleds Tom? Yeah, alls sleds have been oil injected for decades.
Yeah, I was asking about the sleds. I've never even seen a snowmobile up close, so no experience with them. I know more about ATV's, and I haven't seen a 2 stroke version in years.
My excavator has finally landed on our lot. Stumping the driveway in and then dozing the grade to even it out. It's late but I'll take all the progress I can get.
Yep, there are a ton of rocks on the surface which he will line the driveway edge with Jim. There is already a stone wall that runs down the side of the road so the rocks will just be like a continuation of the stone wall up each side of the driveway.
