mercury 8cm engine ?

Hi can anyone enlighten me as to whether the engine in my 1952 f1 pickup is original or been swapped out ? . it was sold to me with a mercury 8cm v8 flathead in it. Can anyone help. Thanks the Gruffalo

I see you are in the UK; is your truck a RHD Export truck (from Canada) or was it imported privately and LHD? Regardless, no F-1's ever came with a Merc engine. It is also possible your engine is a regular Ford engine with Merc heads, which is not a good combination.
