Installing Amplifier

I am putting in an amplifier for my subs, but I have a problem. I am suppossed to attach the power wire to the battery. The only thing is, I'm not sure how to do this. From what I gather I just attach it to one of the terminals on the battery. Is this correct?

Thanks
Chris

Yes, just attach the connector on the power wire to the positive terminal on the battery.

Make sure you have an inline fuse, as close to the battery as
you can get it.

Thanks all I really appreciate the help. I have a fuze, instructions say to have a foot length between it and the battery. Should I put it even closer?

Yes... Some say not to put it too close because it will begin to corrode. If that happens, you could always clean it. The less power wire that is unfused, the better

i like to use a little patrolium (sp) jelly on my terminals to keep them from corroding. i also use it where the fuse goes into the holder.
