Just an FYI to anyone considering this patch.
Right now Shapeways is running a 20% sale using redemption code "TECHLOVERS"

No one ever inquired about getting one, I have had one on my spare dash for well over a year now. No issues, But keep in mind the spare is not in the truck and subjected to the In-Truck-environment.

Is there a link to the patch & lock ring on Shapeway's site?
I went to the site but it is not easy to find this.

Think there was something like it if you searched for "speaker grille" but was 20 pages to look thru. And it had no description what it was or if it had the locking ring.

Also what happened to the tray and did it use the same locking ring?
If not the same ring maybe that would be a way to cut the price as it would use the same ring?
If not cutting price I think it would help in the 3D side. Just re-draw the outside part you have now and drop the center to make a tray.

I really wonder if Chris shouldn't consolidate the multiple threads on this project, or create a sticky with the three or four threads under one heading.

Maybe have its own page on my web site? Or is a sticky better?

How about both?

I'm sure this forum drives most of the traffic to your site.

I think both you and Ron should be credited for your effort.
If the portal problem was resolved and a link created this would be available to anyone from Shapeways server for as long as they exist.

It'll be a while before I can work on it as my grandtwins are here for a while. But later I can.

Jim/somebody,

Post the multiple threads/links and I'll see what I can do.

The kids at IB have disabled HTML in posts so much of the stuff in the subforums (awa anything with embedded spreadsheets) is pretty ugly anymore, I'm hoping @IB Jose can get that HTML capability returned for us.

HTML capability does still exist, but tech is adamantly against enabling this for users as it leaves glaring holes in site security.

The best way to embed tables / diagrams is to use images instead of HTML markup.

Chris,
I think these three threads are all about the speaker repair panel.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-deep-end.html
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...fantastic.html
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1362104-got-the-lock-collar-for-the-dash-patch-today-again-shapeways-was-great.html &

There may be more. It seemed like Ron started a new thread each week rather than making a progress post in the original thread.
there was other discussion about 3D printing some interior parts like bezels and switch housings, but not directly related to this repair panel.
