Hey Roy, when you got the truck from the dealer the hubs were locked right,
after you unlocked them, how much did the fuel mileage improve ?????

There is a sensor on the unit. It is like the sensor on the air filter. When the fuel flow is restricted enough to show on the sensor then the filters get changed. I don't know how long that takes.

It's bound to depend on the fuel quality Roy. I have 14,000 on mine and still no movement of the gauge and nothing in either cup - water or sediment.

Well that's good news. I've only seen one instance about ten years ago where fuel filters really ran into bad fuel. A fuel filter that's not needed is much better than fuel filters that are constantly taxed with bad fuel.

The nice thing about these is you can see into the bowls and don't even have to crawl under the truck to check them. A few miles after a fuel stop, a quick glance under the driver's door will tell you pretty much what you need to know.
