How about some indication as to what the truck looks like and where you found the VIN Stamp. By all accounts, it seems to be a larger truck, maybe even a dump truck... Possibly built in Jan of 1963.

Well now that explaines the F75 at the beginning of your VIN...

Sorry I cannot add more info for you, what would you need? Maybe someone can chime in with the "W" code engine displacement for the 1963 big trucks, but with 173 hp, my guess would be in the range of a 361ci.

Happy Hunting! --MG

Well.... What would be under the hood? Is there a V8 or I6? If is is a V8, are plugs angled in like \\ // and the exhaust manifolds like ram-horns? This would mean a FT (as opposed to FE). A little more info, maybe we can help.

Superbee, keep in mind that this info assumes that the warranty plate is original to the truck, and that the engine/trans etc have not been been altered or changed out.

Superbee: If your numbers on the first line are correct, then yes, it is a '63. What does the * mean in your post? Is it there on the warranty plate?
