That set up would be a viable alternative brake set up for a lot of folks on here with the larger trucks. How did you match what appears to be the original hub to the rotor?

Thanks for the replies and kind words!
Ray, The rotor I'm using has a 10 hole bolt pattern. The back of the hub has a 5 hole pattern where the drum bolts on. The spacer that you see in the photo is aluminum, I will machine the one that I will use from steel. It bolts to the hub with the 5 holes that the drum was bolted on with. There will be 10 tapped holes in a larger bolt circle to bolt the rotor to the spacer. I hope that makes sense.

Very impressive work on the brakes! Top notch like the rest of your build.
Watching to see how this works out.

Mark, I am amazed at the work you are doing on that truck. I sure hope that you will be bringing it to Truckstock in September. If not, I may have to make a special trip to Arkansas this summer just to see it.

Thanks Scott, I've been following your COE build and you are doing some pretty impressive work yourself. The work on your cab is amazing.
Thanks again, Mark

Fred, Thanks for your interest and kind words. I'm sorry I've not updated my build thread lately. I actually haven't been able to work on the truck since I posted last. I have some chronic back issues, so I haven't really felt like working on it. I hope soon to get the engine cleaned up and get it back in so I can hear it run again.
I have been doing some research on the master cylinder and booster that I will need for the disc brake mod. There are quite a few MC and booster combinations that were used with the disc brakes I am using. I've narrowed it down to a MC and vacuum booster used on the 2011-2012 F250 thru F550 truck. It is just a basic MC with a vacuum booster. A lot of the MCs that were used have trailer controls or other electronic controls that work thru the trucks computer or are hydraulic boosted from the power steering pump.
Thanks again, I hope to have another update soon.

Mark I used a 70s GMC 3500 1.5 ton booster and MC on my F6 Coe because it had the 1.25 bore and put out enough fluid volume. It was nice that the thread sizes for lines matched as well.

Thanks for the info pweng1. The MC that I mentioned has a 1 5/16" bore. The front discs have dual piston calipers with 60mm, 2 3/8", diameter pistons. It is one of the MC/booster combinations that is used with the front discs that I am using.
Thanks again, Mark

I finally got a chance to work on the truck for a while today. I hung the engine out on my forklift and pressure washed it so I could pull some of it down and replace some leaking seals and gaskets. I actually found a decent looking engine under all that grease and oil. Since nothing really happens unless a picture is posted to prove it, I will try to post one of the clean engine tomorrow.
