Here is the picture I just took. These lights were ordered for a 56, when I contacted Midfifty and told them they wouldn't fit properly they said they knew that but the supplier that was making them wouldn't make the changes to them and that I needed to make them fit. These measure 1 3/4" at the air deflector but the front face fits the 55 grille that I have. I didn't realize the difference at the air deflector.
So the ones I have don't fit either year properly. Unless the gravel pans are different between 55 and 56.

The lower valance (gravel pan) are the same between the two years with only having to redrill the mounting holes for the parking light assembly. Mid-Fifties does say the reveal around the parking light is off on one side but I did not experience that, can't remember the dimension tho.
If you are using the stock parking light socket bracket, alot of times the pc on it where the chrome housing mounts is bent out or in and needs to be adjusted to make the housing fit properly.

I would bet these bumpers will work on those stops. These fit the 48-52 panels and others.

I am thinking as soon as I get enough posts I am going to start a build thread on my panel here, never did it in the other site because I put the independant rear under it and wasn't staying bone stock and did not feel like getting bashed.
