Here is the picture I just took. These lights were ordered for a 56, when I contacted Midfifty and told them they wouldn't fit properly they said they knew that but the supplier that was making them wouldn't make the changes to them and that I needed to make them fit. These measure 1 3/4" at the air deflector but the front face fits the 55 grille that I have. I didn't realize the difference at the air deflector.
So the ones I have don't fit either year properly. Unless the gravel pans are different between 55 and 56.

Thanx Yeah can't use the PM feature until I have been a registered member for ten days and with 5 posts.
Will look him up as soon as I reach supporter status.

I am not positive by looking at the picture, but those resemble the 54 and I only say that because of the sharp crease in the center. The ones I sent you don't have that sharp of a crease. I believe they will work for you if not, nothin lost. Even with my stock one I am using I had to bend a little.
The lower valance (gravel pan) are the same between the two years with only having to redrill the mounting holes for the parking light assembly. Mid-Fifties does say the reveal around the parking light is off on one side but I did not experience that, can't remember the dimension tho.
If you are using the stock parking light socket bracket, alot of times the pc on it where the chrome housing mounts is bent out or in and needs to be adjusted to make the housing fit properly.

Thanks Gerry.
In regard to contacting AXracer, why not start new thread. title it" paging AXracer, regarding rubber bumper door stops"

I would bet these bumpers will work on those stops. These fit the 48-52 panels and others.

I'm sure they would attach to the hardware but they are shaped different than the ones I sent to AXracer, unless the ones I had were worn wedge shaped.

Here is a pic of two that I have. The bottom is F1 and maybe the top one is 56? What do you think?

I just ordered a set. Cost 3 bucks apc, 16 total to get them to my home. Figured from where I live in relation to town I'll spend 15 in gas with no gaurantee if what I find will work and all the work I will have to do.

Yes I did and I really appreciate the direction here. You are very much right about nice, the sites I have visited have been informative and no bashing of type of vehicle you drive. I also found a set of the door stops, got some great shots of interiors for these panels.
I am thinking as soon as I get enough posts I am going to start a build thread on my panel here, never did it in the other site because I put the independant rear under it and wasn't staying bone stock and did not feel like getting bashed.

Its too bad that there are no reproduction parts made by anyone (that I can fund). (Fabricating something from pictures would be more than I care to tackle). I guess the market for panel truck parts is just too small for the manufacturers to invest in these parts. I may have to find another solution.
