Rear Cab Back Belt Molding Set

I am adding belt molding to the rear of my 1973 F-350 chassis cab. There is a dentation on the left and right of the rear cab under the rear window where I think the sheetmetal is welded. I have new molding from LMC but it looks like once the trim is installed there will be a gap behind the trim at the location of the two dentations. Is there something that is supposed to fill that void?

I assume you're talking about the seems in the back of the cab. if so then no there's no filler the molding just goes on as is.

Yep just the plastic mount tabs and the trim. Have you checked out the FTE Missouri chapter yet? Check out your PM and visitor messages.

Thank you for the quick responses. Just to be clear I have added a photo. I am talking about the vertical seam. When the molding goes on there will be an approx. 1" wide by 1/8" deep void behind the molding at those two locations. It seems odd to me, is this correct?

I seem to remember some rivet like heads (like used for the dent side trim) sticking out and the plastic mount pieces slips on them. Then the trim is pressed on to it.

There are little metal studs welded to the body, and then the plastic retaining clips clip to those.
