Hey everyone
I saw for sale yesterday a 92 F250 4x4. Looked nice from the road. Any suggestions as to common problems or specific things to check prior to making an offer? I will do the usual check for leaks, body damage, and see how it runs.drives. Where do these trucks typically rust? What's a good way to check the 4 wheel drive if I cant take it off road. All suggestions welcome (ect buy a chevy).

 

There are a few common rust out areas. One of the most frequent are the edges and lips of the fender wells.




Another common spot is the core support.



And of coarse the typical rear lower bed corners,cab corners, and rockers
