E-fuel conversion help
Hi all, I've got a 1996 7.3 with an 01 7.3 put in and I'm trying to figure out how I can wire up the electric fuel pump. I want to incorporate a Inertia safety switch and the stock oil pressure switch on the hpop oil reservoir with the single wire from it. Also I would like to tap into the fuse panel under the hood and I need help which fuse and which wire to connect to for the ignition.

On diagrams I've looked at the sd has an engine oil pressure switch however it has a single wire. The diagrams I've seen/read on for efuel wiring show that the oil pressure switch has three prongs common, no, and nc. However the inertia safety switch I scavenged from my 01 parts truck has the c, no, and nc.. I've read of others tying the oil pressure switch to the inertia safety continuing to prong 86 and use 87 as a ground. I've seen the inertia safety going to 86 and oil pressure going to 87 and vise versa. So idk if I seeing some others who have their wiring all goofed up or not. I just want to wire this up as factory as possible and do it the right way.

Okay so I will need to get a three prong ops, the inertia safety switch I have has c, nc, and no. Do I just connect the ops common to the iss common and leave the no and nc wires alone on the iss? That way from the ops I will tie the c to iss c, to pole 86 or 85 in the relay (the other pole used as ground), nc to the starter trigger wire and the no to the fuel heater wire? Or should I tie the iss no and nc to the ops no and nc then to the starter trigger wire and the fuel heater wire?

I ordered the e fuel OBS wiring harness from strictly diesel. Easy install but now the oil pressure switch is leaking oil, 
. The oil pressure switch I mounted in a pressure port forward of the filter and it has two terminals.

Hmm I just got a three terminal one from napa for like $10 and put an adapter on it to get it a little further from the engine (just for extended heat protection thats probably not needed) anyway I put some Teflon tape on it before I put it in. It was either that or loctite, did you do either of those when you put yours in? I'm curious to know in case yours started leaking with it or not.

Mine is not leaking at the threads. Its leaking at the bottom of the electrical connection at the place where the metal starts, if that makes sense. I used thread sealer, so there isn't a problem there.

Hmmm, maybe when Bill sends my system to me, I'll just have to not do the switch. That leak would be no good going down the highway pulling a trailer for sure! It's only for the possibility of a collision, correct? It's more just a safety thing?

No the ops is so that when you turn on your batteries or warm your glow plugs the pump will go until the system is primed and ready for startup then it cuts off so you don't flood your engine. The inertia safety switch is for collisions and basically just a switch you can put where ever you want. I put mine by my fuse box under the hood.

Ah, good deal. It sounds like something I will just have on hand with my other "extra" parts. Where did wire your fuel pump? I know a lot of guys use the fuel heater wire, but that seems like its a long way from where the pump usually goes on the frame rail.
