Ongoing 2002 F250 Build 5.4L -> 7.3L Swap

I realized after I started I really don't have the required time to do it effectively, at least you get to drive yours lol.

Well partially I dont have overdrive so it only bumps up to third gear until I get the new tone ring into the rear. Not to mention like you I am never home.

Ordered myself a new cluster so that I can see if I can finally get my full dash to work again. We will see next week if that was a waste of money or if it works good.

Still having speed sensor circuit errors but the truck is shifting up through all of the gears. Just downshifting kind of funny and hard sometimes.

Found out the only differences in the harness is the addition of the fuel pump wiring which I had already spliced in myself when I did the install. So I am not actively searching for that anymore.

I think I have either a bad coolant temp sensor or a bad thermostat as AE is showing my coolant temp as erratic and sometimes high but my oil temp is good.

Need to finish up some wiring before the 15th of August so I can take the truck up to the dunes for a Injured Soldiers Event.

7.3s don't have a coolant sensor. The closest you can get to a guesstimate is eot iirc

Sorry I cant be any help with fixing the issues you are having, but I can say Great work! Most people sell things when they start doing a swap and realize how much work it is. You stuck it out though and its going to be awesome in the end. Beautiful truck, by the way.

Thank you. Selling has crossed my mind multiple times. At this point though it is not worth selling as I will never get close to the money I have into it.

It is my Frankenbee and it will most likely leave on a wrecker due to too much fun before it gets sold.

Well As i type this I am waiting on the USPS delivery of my new VDH5 ECU! Hopefully the new ecu will sort out some of the issues i have been having since I have been running the original ecu from the 2000 plugged into the harness and modules of my 2002 and they run on a different system.

Well I got the new ECU in and it is magic! I now have a full working dash, my cruise works again, no more flashing overdrive.

Just need to track down some oil seepage and transmission seepage and get my f6 reprogrammed for the new ECU!

Thank you I got my tunes from Jody at DP yesterday and burned them to my F6 and installed it last night.

Drove it to work today in stock since it was down-pouring.

I need to dig into the front brakes I think the drivers side is sticking.

Trans temp is climbing a bit but i think it is due to the routing of the lines too close to the exhaust.

Other than that driving great.
