nice gun there..

Kimbers have a break in period, usually 500 rounds or so. Their tightness which makes they very accurate also hurts reliability until everything gets worn it. Id keep shooting it for a few hundred more rounds and I bet it will clear up.

Here is an Edge.
To make power factor in major you have to have a PF of 165.
Bullet weight x velocity / 1000
So a 230 .45 @ 1000fps/ 1000 = PF of 230.
Its nearly impossible to make with a 9, although you can make minor @ 125.

im guessing at the 1000 lol im sure id put more through it than that.. when id go to the range i was there from time they opened till they closed and was taking all the ammo i had lol. my 45 boxes hold 100 rounds each.. was shooting 3-4 of the boxes i was taking every time i went lol. which back then was often...

thats why i use em
never have a problem loading with them.. uncle likes ranier or however its spelled.. but when i tried using them i kept having problems with inconsistent bullet sizes. kept crushing the brass. when id measure bullets they were wider than specs called for.. the ones that fit were either smaller or just at the limit..

Ranier are good too, as are montana golds and zeros. They are all jacketed.
You can save a few bucks by going plated like Berrys or Xtreme but they cant be pushed hot. Load them like lead.

use to load pure leads for the beretta.. i actually found them to be more accurate than the FMJ's were.. but was probably more due to the fact they were lighter loads.. lol. i load the jackets to max what they can handle for the grains i get.
