trying to figure out my fuel fill issues
I've read all the threads about the evap can being clogged or a line being pinched but I still have a few questions. I dropped the evap can today and checked it and it wasn't clogged. I even hooked a air hose up to it and air flowed through it fine. I even hooked a air hose up to both lines feeding the canister. The lower hose flowed air just fine but the top hose wouldn't flow any air. I followed the line as best I could and didn't see any crushed or pinched spots.
Does anyone have any ideas that could help because I am lost on what to do

Ok I just spent some time trying to find what the hell i read the other day but no luck
I have a Diesel so I didn't mark the Thread but iam sure it was a Ford TSB on this very issue (slow filling at the pump).
I skimmed through it & as I recall the solution was modifying/relocating your Vent Tube Hose.
Sorry I cant remember but hope this points u in the direction

The vent tube is clear. And the charcoal filter it clear. One of the lines running from the tank to the filter is clear but the other won't let any air through it. I can't see and spot that it is kinked. There is a white and yellow lone at the filter. The white line is the one that won't let air through it. There is also a white lone that runs to a sensor in the engine bay and that one won't take air either. Now I don't know if there is a check valve on that line or not but something definitely seems to be preventing air passage which I'm assuming is preventing proper fuel filling

Update on the fuel fill issue. After tracing all the lines in the truck I decided to try something when I got gas today. I unclipped the bottom line running into this sensor in the engine bay. The truck filled up like normal and I could hear the air pouring out of the line. I wonder if what ever this valve/sensor this is, has gone bad? Any ideas on what this is?

SLOW FUEL FILL - 5.4 AND 6.8 ENGINES
Publication Date: October 5, 2009
FORD:
2005-2010 F-250, F-350
This article supersedes TSB 9-8-12 to update the vehicle model years, Issue Statement, Part List and Service Procedure.
ISSUE:
Some 2005-2010 F- Super Duty 250/350 vehicles equipped with a 5.4L 3V or 6.8L 3V engine may experience premature automatic shut off of the fuel fill nozzle. This may include box delete vehicles that have been upfitted with aftermarket utility bodies or vehicles that are operated in muddy or dusty environments, and may encounter a dirt clogged carbon canister system.
ACTION:
Use the following service procedure to resolve the concern if the carbon canister system is dirt clogged.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
NOTE: THIS PROCEDURE ONLY APPLIES TO F-250/350 PICKUPS AND F-250/350 PICKUP BOX DELETE VEHICLES WITH GAS ENGINES.
Inspect the vehicle's canister system.
If the canister system is not dirt clogged and the vehicle is a F-250/F-350 Pickup then proceed with normal diagnostics and do not continue with this procedure.
If the canister system is not dirt clogged and the vehicle is a box delete then replace the filler pipe (box delete vehicles only).
The new filler pipe should only be used for box delete vehicles that are exhibiting slow fill issues due to the aftermarket routing of the filler pipe with the upfitter's box (the new filler pipe kit provides additional design measures to improve the ability to fill the vehicle).
If the canister system is found to be dirt clogged, then continue with Step 2.
Replace the carbon canister assembly per Workshop (WSM), Section 303-13.
Relocate the fresh-air intake port to a more protected location using a new fresh air hose kit.
Replace fuel cap assembly.
Replace the fuel filler pipe (box delete vehicles only) that have been upfitted with aftermarket utility bodies).
NOTE: WARRANTY COVERAGE IS NOT APPLICABLE ON VEHICLES IF THE BOX DELETE FILLER PIPE HAS BEEN MODIFIED FROM THE INITIAL FILLER KIT TO MEET UNIQUE AFTERMARKET/BODY BUILDER INSTALLATION.
