It was Rick. The foot switch activated the microphone for us if we wanted to use it.

We dont use that radio anymore. Had to take it out when we went digital. Not to mention Motorola doesnt make it anymore.

Pretty much Rick. At least in my line of work. We have to deal with the FCC because we have a repeater system for the radios. And we also have to deal with the state police in regards to the commissions for the officers, and we have annual reports we have to file with the FBI in regards to what goes on in and around the campus.

Most of it is Rick. As for the stuff that goes to the FBI that is required of every single university in the US because of the Clery act.
