I went to 2 different schools Rick. One was a regular high school but also offered an arts oriented program. The school that had the auto shop was the local vo-tech. We had maybe a 15 minute alottment to get to the vo-tech but then another 15 once there to get to class. Before I started driving I took the school bus between the schools. Once I started driving I left when my lunch period started and got something on the way.

Lunch for us was separate from the travel time to vo-tech. freshman year we did math, science, and technology education classes at the vo-tech. After that stuff was done at our "home" school as it was called. Sophomore year I had auto shop and the 30 minute class in the mornings then the regular stuff at the other school in the afternoon. I took a health class and a cadd class in the mornings at the votech before auto shop. My health class was taught by my shop teacher in the autoshop. The cadd class was taught by the carpentry teacher in a computer lab. Had fun in both classes.

Baltimore COunty still offers Votech at 2 different tech schools. One is a full day tech school. The other is a half day tech school. I went to the half day tech school since it was a bit closer to my home then the other one. The full day tech school is a good 20-25 minute drive from my house. The =half day school was only 10-15 minutes from home. Both are relatively close to each other. Maybe 25 minutes apart depending on traffic and trains.
