engine swap
have a 1997 ld f-250 w/4.6l with 148000 miles on it and im entertaining the idea of replaceing it with a 5.4l am i crazy or is this do-able the body is in great shape, the suspension is great the tranny is good its just that is hard to pay 17,000 for a used super duty with the same milage. any advice?

The 5.4 is a great motor. Just look for one around the same mileage and you shouldn't have to worry about it spitting plugs. Im not sure on the transmission or computer matching up. Maybe someone with more knowledge can help with that.
