Seat Covers

The problem I have on my 72 pick-up is seats. Where is the best place to get new seat covers to match what is in it from the factory? Also there is so many ford blue engine paints. What is the proper ford blue for a 72 360 and who has the best paint?

LMC. Mac's. SMS auto fabrics are a few places to check. I'm going to be getting covers for my 68 this spring. Not sure from where yet. I haven't called any of these places yet.

smsautofabrics.com is the only source for the upholstery material or pre-sewn seat covers.

LMC, Mac's and etc are buying from SMS, then selling to the general public. Eliminate the middle-man and buy direct.

Thanks "dummy". Good to know. There is another thread someone is asking if a 96 F150 bench will fit in his 69 I think it was.

FYI

This is from SMS' FAQ page:

"Does SMS sell seat covers?
We typically only sell yardage, however we will in most cases make seat covers upon request. We believe there are plenty of good, fair priced, auto trimmers that do an excellent job of sewing and installing the upholstery, and we recommend most people go this route. However if you do want us to make covers, we will likely need your original covers from which we will make patterns."

Othewise, NPD, LMC, Mac's and the other vendors listed in https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post13139591 are your best bets for pre-sewn upholstery.

The answer is yes. Unbolt the seat tracks from the 96 seat, bolt on the ones from the 69, and bolt it into the truck.
